NavPress Plastic Jesus: Exposing the Hollowness of Comfortable Christianity

Do you idolize the suburbs - a utopia of putting-green-perfect lawns, Stepford wives, and gas-guzzling SUVs? However, what has all this comfort and ease done to your spiritual life? Has it affected your sensitivity to Christ's radical message? In Plastic Jesus, Pastor Eric Sandras speaks out against the danger of the comfortable, suburban mindset permeating today's Christianity and calls you to live an authentic, counter-cultural life, just like Jesus.

I could say some good things about this book.. but every good thing about this book is outweighed by the dangerous gnostic mystical theology promoted in this book, by way of the authors constant praise of the apostate Madam Guyon.

This is a great book, full of humor and insight. This book has helped me understand the gap. I now understand that being disillusioned isn't a bad thing. For those who are fed up with the unauthentic, this should be mandatory reading.
