Excellent information from someone who has been there and knows about these fears. Based entirely upon the Word of God, bringing to light things often read over without taking them to heart.

Life is filled with fears. Dr. David Jeremiah takes a look at these fears as well as providing strong Biblical teaching on how to overcome these fears. There are 10 types of fear that are discussed. These fears are: disaster, disease, debt, defeat, loneliness, disapproval, danger, depression, death, and God. These are things that everyone deals with in themselves or in other people that touch our lives. The hope and practical wisdom provided is motivating.
I know this book will be a great reference tool to be used throughout my life. Working with people on a daily basis will put these principles into practice. I look forward to sharing this wisdom with the people in my life.
My heartfelt thanks to Netgalley and Tyndale House Publishers for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book

In his newest book, "What Are You Afraid Of?", David Jeremiah identifies ten of our biggest fears (disaster, disease, debt, defeat, disconnection, disapproval, danger, depression, death and deity) and walks us through how God is the answer to all of our fears. His mission in writing this book is to convince us that God is in control and we have no reason to be afraid. By faith, we can conquer any fear that paralyzes us and keeps us locked in worry mode.
The world we live in offers plenty of things to be afraid of, but Scripture tells us that God did not give us a spirit of fear. David Jeremiah weaves biblical examples, personal experiences and shares the stories of others to demonstrate God's faithfulness to His promise to never leave us or forsake us. As long as we place our trust in Him, we have nothing to fear.
"What Are You Afraid Of" is timely and a great resource for those who live their lives in fear. The chapters do not have to be read in sequence so if you are struggling with something in particular, you can read that chapter. As always, Jeremiah offers practical encouragement from the Bible to help others deal with their worries. He also shares a few of his own and how he conquered them by studying Scripture and trusting God.
This is a great resource to share with friends who are struggling with fear.
