A very nice, smart "synthesis" of feelings and messages. As he was a child, I was used to say to my son, "he is a gift of God..." Today he's 27 -has a daughter- and this lovely figurine is a tender reminder. It also stress : even if we do not agree on matters, ways of life aso... "let us love one another". Then the tree -ok for the family symbol- but not least : symbolism for nature, roots/past and future, earth and sky... and the sailboat for liberty, open spaces, new horizons, hope... On the mother day it was my gift to him. I can't tell who was the most moved.
