Destiny Image Messianic Messianic Jewish Shared Heritage Bible

The Tree of Life New Covenant (New Testament) together with the 1917 Jewish Publication Society TANAKH Holy Scriptures (Old Testament).

These are the works of the Heavenly Father as told by Jewish forefathers from generation to generation. The goal is to respect and revere the JPS Holy Scriptures that the modern Messianic Jewish Community grew up reading here in America over the last century.

Christianity is born out of Judaism. Modern Jewish Believers in Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, are longing to share their Jewish roots with you. The story of Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah, is being connected back to His own Jewish roots with this publication.

You will be greatly blessed to read these newly translated Greek texts through the eyes of Hebrew thinking scholars that are also Jewish believers in Yeshua! Unified in hope for peace, as Jews and Christians in America, the shared heritage can build understanding and stand for faith in the God of Israel.

I am very disappointed in this Bible. It changes meanings to Messianic OT scripture. Just look at Psalms 2, 22; Is 53. I haven't looked at much else after noticing they took all meaning from the Hebrew out, and changed the wording so it doesn't even remotely point to Yeshua/Jesus as the Messiah. A definite no for any Christian!

I have compared this version to NIV (1984), NASB and ESV. The pages are delicate, the content is powerful. The translation provides a direct connection with our Christian heritage . Sufficiently compatible with our vernacular without sacrificing what we believe the ancient intent of the scriptures is preserved based on my laity knowledge. Add this Bible to your comparative study.

The unique purpose of this revolutionary new translation is to convey a world view of the Jewish Messiah and to communicate a message of being one in His love.
The translation uses Jewish Messianic terms which add a new significance and understanding to the scriptures, an approach for teaching Jewish culture which will help the reader understand the significance and magnitude of the Messianic message as well as provide contemporary insights into the ancient Hebrew manuscripts. It also helps the modern-day Christian to relate to the Jewish roots of the faith and to learn more of the culture and traditions of the Jewish people.
The reader will get a clearer understanding of how Yeshua’s (Jesus') teaching is directly from the Torah. The use of Hebraic titles sets this translation apart of other popular contemporary translations available today.
An impressive selection of 24 illustrations from original Jewish artwork adds another dimension and reinforces the interpretation of selected passages. Other important features include the: Hebraic glossary, Sabbath prayers, Jewish reading cycle, map of Israel, and cross referencing footnotes.
The luxurious leather cover and quality paper and easy to read font add to the value of this important historic publishing accomplishment.
The scholarly approach will stimulate the professional theologian and member of academia while the clarity and simplicity of the translation will make this a popular choice of the Christian layman, the Messianic Jew pursuing a study of the scriptures, and other Jews looking into Messianic teaching.
A complimentary copy of this Bible was provided for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own.

It's a great book with good and complete content and I'm very excited to have it. The quality of the cover is a little disappointing. I'll just have to be very gentle with it.

I have had this Bible less than a week but I have found things that make me unhappy with this bible. It is a Messianic Jewish Bible so I am confused as to why the Torah Readings do not include the Prophets and the New Testament readings. In the back of the bible it has "Welcoming the Sabbath with different prayers." The "Traditional Blessing" is only one sentence long where the prayer I am familiar with is much longer. I would like to know why they only had the first sentence of the prayer rather than the entire prayer? I also did not care for the wording of this prayer verses the one I am familiar with. I am not sure if the other prayers have been shortened as well or not?
I was hoping this being a Messianic Jewish bible they would use the Hebrew names for God (Yahweh), Jesus (Yeshua) and other bible characters but they did not.
I am hoping once I get into actually using the bible I may find more things to like about it.
I love the layout of the bible and the print size is nice. There are also really nice drawings throughout the bible but I have yet to decide if I will use this bible or give it away to someone else.
This would probably make a nice bible for a family with young children.
