This is the second book in this delightful series. I absolutely loved this book. It gives great messages on life to children [adults], the family shows a great faith in the Lord.

Think one of my favorite stories, and my Grandson's too is Mrs Carter's Fright. When I was reading this to Alex, my Grandson, he ended up rolling on the floor with laughter.

If I could have a meeting with some one living or dead in the literary field it would be Arleta Richardson. She has enriched my life with these wonderful books, in fact my cat is named Sarah Jane...after Mable's best friend!

My youngest daughter started reading this series last year in 2nd grade. She got through books 1-3 by the time we had summer break. This year she is finishing up the series with book 4 and LOVES them all!

I enjoyed these sweet children's books by Arleta Richardson. Each chapter tells a different story about when Grandma was growing up. As she tells these stories to her granddaughter, she weaves in wonderful lessons that teach character. These old-fashioned stories are simple and easy to read, but the lessons are valuable and timeless.

Remember listening to your grandma spin stories about growing up? Well, the author is back with another fun assortment of engaging stories.

These wonderful short stories are easy-to-read and engaging illustrations have been added to several of the stories in each book, making them come to life. Each short story tells of an event in Arleta's grandmother's life. Everything from a kitten to knitting or a stranger serve as the launching point for a story that illustrates an important life truth.

The short chapters are easy for young readers to enjoy. But the content is great for any age. If you like Little House on the Prairie, you will equally enjoy these books.
