Harpercollins Publishing Bachelor Girl, The Rose Years #8

Meet Rose Wilder, Laura Ingalls Wilder's daughter, and the last of the Little House girls. Rose is leaving Ricky Ridge Farm for good. She heads off for San Francisco to join the growing ranks of "bachelor girls," young women who are earning their own living outside the home. Rose's dream is to work a year or two, save a little money, and marry Paul Cooley, her childhood sweetheart. But the big city has all sorts of surprises in store for Rose!

Bachelor Girl is the eighth and final book in the Rose Series about the adventures of another spirited girl from America's favorite pioneer family. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.

I have this book; it is a well written book. Author did a great job but I was kind of disappointed in Rose. Definitely nothing Like her ma Laura Ingalls Wilder who we have all learned to love from her 9 Little House Books and popular TV series Little House on the Prairie that ran for 9 years. In this book Rose moves away from Rocky Ridge Farm. Once she's in San Francisco she goes bar hopping with some of her new friends, stays out late and breaks up with Paul Cooley.
