Often, when there is a conflict between my husband, I really think I am the problem, solely. but the chapter speaking about being protected helped me realize why I feel at odds and insecure.

Gary Smalley has made a significant contribution to helping men understand how to relate to ladies especially in marriage. This book contains well thought out insights and suggestions on how to put into practice Biblical principles and values. After over 30 years of marriage I was surprised at how a using his suggestions has greatly improved my relationship with my wife. As a key note speaker in Promise Keepers events, Gary, now in his 70's, continues to use his wisdom and years of experience to help us have the marriages God intends!

This is an excellent read. I ordered 11 copies to share with my friends because almost everyone I know is struggling in their marriages/relationships. This book has helped me to understand on a deeper level, what is required to make a marriage/relationship last a lifetime. It requires consistent work and God must be in the midst of your relationship on a daily basis. Happy Reading!

This book was the most significant factor that allowed me to save my marriage of 18 years. There is an old saying, "A stupid man never learns from his mistakes, a smart man learns from his mistakes but a wise man learns from other's mistakes." If you don't think your marriage is in trouble, be wise and get this book. If your marriage is in trouble, get it NOW and don't stop until you have read it and taken it's advice. It may take years to fix your marriage, but if you love your wife it is worth the effort and the time. After reading this book, read Love-Life for Every Married Couple by Ed Wheat, M.D. It puts the icing on the cake.

Overflowing with an abundance of insights and wisdom in marriage relationships. Worthwhile for husbands, and should be required reading for grooms-to-be. As a divorced husband who's remarrying, I found this book full of truths about what women truly want and need, our role and responsibilities as husbands, and tips on how to Biblically romance our wives. I found this book full of practical truths about relationships in today's world. It is a must-read for marrieds and pre-marrieds.
