Excellent! A must read for anyone wanting an understanding of God's love. Easy to read but pack with biblical truth that is often overlooked today.

This is one of the greatest books that I have ever read. Biblical, exegetical, and theologically precise, Carson (being one of the few contemporary theologians who are truly dominated by the Word of God) writes a short but thorough treatise on the doctrine of the love of God. I wish every Christian I know would read this book. It is one of the most important books to be written in the past century.

Excellent short overview of the doctrine of the Love of God. A compilation of lectures given by Carson. A very valuable explanation of the various aspects of the Love of God found in Scripture. Not comprehensive, but comprehendable and insightful. Useful for pastors and preachers.

Those who have read C.S. Lewis' "The Four Loves" remember how enlightening it was to contemplate that there are different types of human love. D.A. Carson is equally illuminating about the different facets or "types" of God's love. A very worthwhile read.

Although it is short, this is still the best book I have come across dealing with the love of God. I strongly recommend reading it.
