Charlene5 Stars Out Of 5August 6, 2009CharleneExcellent program. Have used levels one through three. The well planned scripted lessons are wonderful! Used with the student's workbook, it makes teaching very painless especially if you aren't a language arts expert yourself. I would use it again without reservation. Be sure to use the copywork, dictation, and narration exercises since they prepare the student to be a proficient writer.

I've been using FLL materials for 3 years now and feel that this curriculum covers all topics in a way that is easily grasped by students.

Homeschool Mom5 Stars Out Of 5Great Preparation for Classical Conversations Essential programAugust 28, 2019Homeschool MomI have used FLL levels 1-3 with my oldest son and he began Essentials a couple of weeks ago. FLL has prepared him so that nothing is brand new in Essentials. FLL introduced him to all the basics of grammar and diagramming sentences. Everyone says that Essentials is like drinking from a fire hose (and it is challenging) but I'm thankful for the preparations First Language Lessons has given us. I plan to use it with my other three children. It can be repetitive but now that I know the benefits, I'm sticking with it!

MamaG5 Stars Out Of 5Love, love, love it!January 13, 2015MamaGQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This series is a comprehensive approach to grammar. In this book, the students review the parts of speech (taught in the first two books), begin sentence diagramming, learn more comprehensive sentence structure, and how to use a dictionary. As with the other books in the series, students review/learn punctuation, written correspondence, picture narration, and poetry memorization. We have used this series for years and my children have retained almost all the poetry memorization, definitions, and word lists since the beginning.
