Lillenas 'Tis the Season: A Christmas Play in Three Scenes

By Jerry Cohagan, Stephen Hicks, and Ken Carpenter. See the spirit and fun of Christmas at the heart of this long one-act. From a forlorn Santa arrested for embezzling funds, to a live church Nativity gone awry, the fast-paced script is a collage of humor and heart tugs.

I was laughing as I read it to myself. I just had to read it to my husban and he said how great it was. Then I gave it to my mom and she loves it!! We are in charge of the programs at our church and we are using this!!

Lillelas sent me this script before it was actually published back in 1994. Later, I saw it got edited down to a one-act and I was saddened. How great that it's been released again in the original hilarous form. Our church produced it and it was a hit! It is a comedy to be sure but has a warm ending. Hare are 2 production ideas: in the jail put up "Wanted" posters with faces of your pastor or other well known folks in church. We also rented a police light and had it whirl on the faces of the actors before the policeman entered the scene. Good effect and inexpensive.Have fun!
