Our choir used this series many years ago - I loved it then as a choir member. We are "re-discovering" this series as I am now the interim music director. Great arrangements, not too difficult and songs with a great message.

I was disappointed with the books. I looked at the "preview" pages on the website, looking specifically for the copyright information. We use the CCLI license, so I was looking to see if the copyright information said anything about CCLI not allowed. It did not, so I purchased. When the books were received, the "CCLI does not allow copy of this book" statement was on an entirely different page.
As the seller, this should have been one of your "preview" pages so I don't waste my money on something I can't use as anticipated.

I ordered this song book because it had some older songs that are difficult to find in print. However, the music had a different format and would have been difficult for our choir to read. I also found it odd that the piano accompaniment was not in this book, it had to be bought separately. This just wasn't what I expected or could use.

I had recently purchased this songbook as well as the CD for Canaanland Classics, and I must say what a beautiful collection of songs these are! I don't know how anybody could not love this songbook. The songs are easy and fun to sing, as well as play. My personal favorite is "Ride That Chariot" because it has a bass part in it that I really like, since I am a bass singer. This song, along with some of the others in this book are not found in most other songbooks, which makes it a must-have for all southern gospel music fans. It has a nice blend between the fast, upbeat songs and the slow, tender songs. I've shared it with a few church friends and we are thinking of having different groups of people to get in front of the congregation and sing these songs, and eventually we hope to have enough books for the choir to sing from. I would highly recommend Canaanland Classics to anyone who loves southern gospel music!
