Edward Bickersteth's classic clarifies the true nature of the Trinity, explaining what it is, and equally important, what it is not. Through biblical evidence he brings theory to the level of heart and life, where it can make a difference. We see Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in relation to each other and in relation to ourselves - and love them anew.

E.H.Bickersteth (1825-1906) uses a whole host of Scripture texts to clearly show the true meaning of the Trinity. Using both Old and New Testament passages, he carefully gives evidence for the various attributes and activities of each Person of the Trinity. In ch.7, Dr. Bickersteth states, "...the Scriptures...prove beyond contradiction that as the Father is God, so is Jesus Christ God, and so the Holy Spirit is God. This truth...is revealed with equal clearness and enforce with equal solemnity:-"I am Jehovah, and there is none else, there is no God beside me."" (Isa 45:5)
