Customer Reviews for Kregel Publications Grace

Kregel Publications Grace

Chafer's classic treatise on God's Grace is presented for a new generation. In his very methodical style, he clearly illustrates what Grace is, what it is not, and what it can do. Spending much of his time writing about life under Grace, Chafer touches on the Law, the Sabbath, the sovereignty of Grace, and many more related issues. As an evangelist, writer, and teacher, Chafer set the pace for much of conservative Christianity in the first half of the 20th century, and many of his writings, such as Grace, have become classic reference material to this day.

I am retired pastor and a firm believer in dispensationalism. This book helped me to fine tune my dispensationalism in multiple ways. It will challenge your thinking and greatly increase your appreciation of God's grace as well as one's freewill in matters of faith. Chafer's approach is broad in scope and deeply thorough. Even if you follow a form of covenant theology you can gain a better understanding of dispensationalism by reading this book.

There is so much missunderstanding among churchies and even churchleaders about the issue of grace so I would really recommend this book.
May be his language is a bit difficult for people outside the english speaking countries but to anyone who knows english well this book is so important.
As for me I think this book is the most important one I have read.

I love this book! Its probably the best study guide and the best book I've read in my 39 years of Christian life outside the Bible itself. A must read for anyone really interested in understanding this "AWESOME" Age of GRACE we live in. How little we really know about this great Salvation we have. Lewis Sperry Chafer was gifted by God Himself to have such insite into the real heart of God. I have read this book over and over again and have given it as a gift to many many people. I Love it... I am so glad its back in print. Because of this book , I bought all of Chafer's books, including his set of "Systematic Theology".

This is a most exhaustive book on the grace of God and a treasure for every serious Bible student. Chafer's ability to clarify the distinction that grace deserves apart from legal restraints, is refreshing in this day of confusion about what grace truly is! Dallas Seminary's founder and first president teaches God's matchless grace as it should be taught. It is a volume to be sought again and again throughout a believer's life.

One of the most life-changing books available today! Chafer masterfully exposes Satan's age-long attack on the doctrines of God's grace. Perhaps the greatest need in churches today is for believers to truly get a hold of what God's grace is really all about. I have not found another book that can help meet this desparate need so fully.
