I really enjoyed Hallie's Heart. The story was unlike anything I have read in a long time. I really liked Mona's dog, Oscar (he reminded me of a dog I know!). Elsie was a fun character, too. And I liked Dan. I did think, though, that a lot was explained about Sadie, to have her featured only once.

This is a great book. I love the humor that is interspersed in Shelly Beach's writing about everyday life. She delves into pain and God's healing in a gentle and loving way through her characters. I am eager to read a sequel. I highly recommend Hallie's Heart!
