Jeff Himmel
An excellent resource! Smith provides a wealth of information without getting bogged down in details. The book includes quite a few good charts and maps. I appreciate his sound, conservative scholarship. This is the first commentary I grab when studying the OT books of history. It's a book anybody can use!
