Revell Christ the Healer - eBook

Bosworth's earnest prayer was that many thousands would learn to make the promises of God's Word work in their lives through his book, Christ the Healer. Bosworth offers a comprehensive discussion of healing, based on the premise that it is God's will for all Christians to be physically healed. First released in 1924, this classic on spiritual and physical healing continues to enrich and inspire new readers every day. This updated edition includes a foreword by the author's son, updated language and sentence structure for better readability, and a concluding chapter detailing the epilogue to Christ the Healer---Bosworth's ministry in South Africa, on which he embarked at the age of 75.

Bosworth provides Scriptures and real-life experiences of healing to show that God still miradculously heals. The reader should be a Berean and take the Scripture that Bosworth lists and go to the Bible and read the Scripture in context, as he sometimes takes the Scripture out of context. Even so, this book was the catalyst for my unlearning what I had been taught--that miracles were only for the first years of the church. The more Scripture and books I read, I realized that God would heal me. God miraculously healed me, and Christ the Healer began my journey towards that healing.

Christ The Healer is the most Biblically accurate book on healing I've read to date. F. F. Bosworth makes a compelling case - from the Scriptures - that the same atonement by Christ which paid for our sins also provided for our physical well being/healing. His thesis does not go overboard on the "name it and claim" side of theology, reducing The Lord to some sort of "spiritual genie", but instead provides sound answers to every theological position - including Paul's "thorn in the flesh" - which may otherwise discourage those who know and love Christ from coming to Him with their physical needs. As a "cradle evangelical", I was taught thoroughly and repeatedly about the "spiritual wholeness" secured for me by the shed blood of Christ. This book has helped me to more fully grasp the "other half" of the atonement - physical wholeness purchased by the broken body of Christ. The quarter million written testimonies of physical healing, and the countless others which remain unwritten, attest to the Biblical accuracy of this treatise. Jesus said "ye shall know them by their fruit". The fruit of F.F. Bosworth's ministry is abundant and well documented. For those who have heard that "healing is not for the church today" or "healing became somehow limited when the apostolic age ended", etc., you will find sound answers which - rather than limit and truncate the healing compassion of Jesus - align very clearly with His Promise of "greater things" for His People following His death, resurrection and ascension.
If you have questions about healing, especially those which are more than "academic", this book may well provide a "spiritual windfall". For those who have been unclear about the Biblical basis for healing, it will be life changing.

This book is required reading at the Bible college I attended. This handling of the subject of The Lord's present day healing ministry is complete and skillfully covered. Bosworth is qualified and anointed in his writing and knowledge of the subject.

A pastor friend of mine suggested this book. I absolutely loved it. I even ordered another copy for a family member. God has shown me that He has paid the price for every sickness and disease. Christ the Healer is just another confirmation of that revelation...Praise the Lord.

This was once my favorite book on healing, apart from the bible, which wasn't offering the quick enough solutions that I wanted back then, to be honest. Not that I needed quick solutions so badly, but even though I was a devoted fulltime worker in a church back then, I was in some deep ways not willing to really follow Jesus with all my life, no matter the cost, and enter the path of light with my all, which destroys all darkness in my life. Two stars for Bosworth's book for using many scriptures, but not more, because he adapted many teachings from other teachers which are to much on the principle side (sometimes with a not proper biblical approach, and not in proper context with other scriptures, example: the whole proclamation theology to live by every day, which is mixed up from only a very few scriptures, which are not meant to live by every word we say). Even though these teachings are fascinating at the beginning, because they promise more or less quick results (do a to get b), they make empty with some time. They become religion. And they often don't even work, because as Paul said, the letter kills, but the Spirit makes alive. Charles Price goes much more into the being a child of God direction. The personal experience with God. Greetings & be blessed

If only the readers of this book can grasp the truth of what our Lord did and is still doing for us, my what an awesome and miraculous world we would be living in. This book lays it all out in plain English. Receive it saints in Jesus' name.
