It's a good thing I'm writing this review, and not speaking it, because I'm speechless. This haunting story captures the flavor of 60's Deep South in every aspect. The characters are so breathtakingly real, some became my friends, and some became my enemies. In WHAT THE BAYOU SAW, Sally Stevens covers her past with sugar-coated lies. No one, not even her husband knows what happened when she was 11 yrs. old. Except for her best friend who saw it. But now, old memories are flooding back, and Sally is forced to confront them, her deceit, and the consequences. I highly recommend this book!
