Group Publishing Outflow: Outward-focused Living in a Self-focused World

If it is all about God, why do we live as if it is all about us? This book--a cross between a manifesto and a how-to manual--inspires readers to embrace outreach as a lifestyle--a natural, everyday thing that is as normal as going to the grocery store.
When church members lead joyful, outward-focused lives, they make powerful connections with family and friends...and those connections are opportunities to share Gods love. Simple and Biblical, too.
Outflow inspires a vision for living an outward focused life and provides practical tools to make that vision a reality with:
  • A clear image (an overflowing fountain) that cements in the mind the five-step process by which readers can move from an inward to an outward focus.
  • 25 readings that support a five-week Outflow focus
  • Labs - practical activities readers can do to live an outward focus with their family, community, friends, and the world at large.

Steve Sjogren pioneered Servant Evangelism at a church that grew from a handful of members to more than 5,000 members using Outflow principles.
Dave Ping is Director of Equipping Ministries International. More than 130,000 leaders have benefited from his practical training.

Sjorgen here weaves together doing missions and showing unconditional love in a remarkable, unique fashion. Using the outline of Acts 1:8, he describes showing love outward towards God (Jerusalem), family and friends (Judea), community (Samaria), and the world in general (ends of the earth). I love the emphasis of this book and its sense of God's activity "flowing" from us to the world around us. Too often as Christians we become inward-focused, dwelling upon our own community of faith or our own ministry endeavor. Here Sjorgen encourages us to move outward as the love and grace of God flows outward. This title is an inspiring one - you won't be disappointed!
