Moody Publishers The Moody Handbook of Theology: Revised and Expanded

The Moody Handbook of Theology leads the reader into the appreciation and understanding of the essentials of Christian theology. It introduces the reader to the five dimensions that provide a comprehensive view of theology: Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Historical Theology, Dogmatic Theology, and Contemporary Theology. Paul Enns provides a concise doctrinal reference tool for both newcomer and scholar. In this revised edition, each chapter has been revamped to include the latest in theological studies and trends such as material on the openness of God, health and wealth theology, the emergent church, various rapture interpretations, evangelical feminism, and charismatic theology.

Paul P. Enns is minister through Biblical Training & Leadership Development, Idlewood Baptist Church , Tampa, Florida, and serves as professor and director of the Tampa Extension, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Enns has also taught at Northwestern College in Minneapolis, and at both Dallas and Talbot Theological Seminaries.

The book has mostly short chapters, which is a feature I like. Some chapters are too lenghty, but still interesting. As a Christian of several decades I am totally familiar with over 95% of the material, and I hope that instructors will make the appropriate choice as to test questions. The book generated sufficient interest in me to be over halfway done reading it, even before class starts next Monday, 13 Jan 2014.

I love this book. But, the eBook format is making me hate whoever came up with it. There's not any PDF option, and you have to use either online reading or Adobe Digital Editions, which is just an abysmal viewer. If I could just have a trusty old PDF, I would be happy. But, somebody at Moody decided this would be better. Bad idea.
