I can't believe how much stuff the author includes in this book! It truly is the "ultimate" guide! I only give it four stars because so much at once is a little intimidating, but I appreciate the depth of her scope and know every bit will be useful as my child's teen years play out.

This book was truly the ultimate guide to homeschooling teens. Contained not just practical information like how to plan and prepare for high school, but provided food for thought on why and how to homeschool your teen. Appendices were very helpful!

Although I have not read the whole book yet I can tell you that Debra does a great job with organizing the book for AP and other tracks. There are ideas for interning, studies abroad, etc. She, once again, walks you through each stage, what cirriculums have been successful for her, and what would be great for your child's learning style. When I am ready, I am sure this book will be my go to book as well.

The information in this book is definitely for the serious minded college bound student's family. The appendix is worth the price of the book!

I have very much appreciated Debra Bell's first homeschooling book and hearing her speak at homeschool conferences, and she has blessed me once again with her comprehensive tips for homeschooling my high schoolers. There is something for everyone, regardless of the life path their children are on and Debra offers advice and counsel in her usual thorough and graceful way, always pointing us to the Cross.

This book is packed with information for Christian home schoolers who will be OR who are home educating teenagers. A plan for successfully navigating high school and entering college is clearly laid out.
Debra Bell, who obviously loves the Lord, honestly relates her experiences educating her four teens. She gives detailed accounts of her failures and successes and genuinely tries to inform and help the reader.
I found chapters 1,2 and 3 (PART I), very helpful. Should I home school high school or place my student in a classroom? Debra will take you on a journey of counting the costs of your decision: financial, spiritual, time factors, etc. She plainly lays out the consequences of both scenarios.
I encourage any parent with a middle school aged student (or older) to get this book.
