Apologia Educational Ministries The Ultimate Homeschool Planner (Yellow Cover)
Designed for the busy homeschooling mother, help bring order---and less frustration---into your life. A user's guide will help you set everything up; a one-year planning grid, student goal setter, pre-planning guide, monthly planners, weekly planner, records, teaching tips, and a high school planning guide are all provided. Yearly planning pages provide room for vision-casting with your family priorities, a review of the previous school year, a goal-setter for character and academics, and timing grids. Weekly plans provide room to write in your Bible plan, battle plan, prayers, hospitality/outreach efforts, memorable moments, achievements, and evidences of grace. Schedule pages may be filled in as you see fit-both the vertical and horizontal axes are blank for you to fill in days and subjects as you prefer. Boxes along the facing page include room for notes, supplies, and appointments. The plastic covers include folder pockets on the inside for handy storage. Spiral bound.

I like this planner primarily because of the ability to customize the days and dates. I like the fact that it gives suggestions on different ways to use it as well. Some prefer it all laid out with all subjects written in, etc.; I don't. I need the option to write in subjects and other things that aren't always standard. I also like that the cover is made of a hard, flexible plastic, making it more durable. Overall, this planner works great for me!

I recently ordered this planner to help me organize my home-school days. This planner is different than any I have ever used and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in the mail. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I love the colors and all of the helpful tips and information, as well as he scripture references that are included. We all need extra motivation as a mom and a home-school parent. It is nice to know we are not in this alone.

I have home schooled for more than 12 years and haveused several planners. On a whim I purchased this one and I absolutely love it. It is great to have everything I need in one place. The attractiveness of the planner is an added bonus.

I had been thinking about getting a planner for helping me plan our homeschooling days, but wasn't sure if they are worth the money. I had just been using a binder with notebook paper. But I am so glad I purchased this planner. I love it! It gives examples of how you can use the pages, or you can do it whatever way you want. The paper is nice quality. It has helped inspire me to plan ahead and is helping me stay organized. I am definitely getting one of these each year. I also got my daughter the Student Planner. It is helping her to start getting a little more independent and we like doing our Monday morning meetings to quickly go over our upcoming week. This is really a wonderful addition to my homeschooling supplies.

Initially, I was really disappointed with this product. It has some good planning strategies in there, if you want real details. The first 6 pages or so are instructions to use the planner. For 2 kids, this has room to spare. There is room for up to 6 kids easily in this planner. It would be nice if there were tabs (will add myself) where everything is in the book such as weekly planner, etc. Its a great thing for those with older kids. For me, with 2 primary kids, this was a bit too much. I definitely would probably not buy this planner again especially at the $20 mark. I will probably make my own or try a much cheaper planner next time. I did not click with this planner. I will make it work this year, just because I spent so much on it.
I do like the weekly planning pages, and doing everything in pencil is a good thing. I like that nothing is dated in the book. I put the dates in myself. The inside covers each have a pocket. Its sturdy and large. Nice covers, durable. It is flexible, how you set up your schedule. As my kids are basically doing the same subjects and material, I arranged the weekly schedule by days of the week and subjects.
I think this would suit a large, busy family with older students.

I am in love with this planner, I love how she encourages you to make time to pray over everything, to sit down and take time with your kids each day, week, month, and evaluate how everything is going. It keeps my organized and on track spiritually too. The little quotes and bible verses as well as having a ''battle plan'' for the week are amazing. Everything is customizable for year/child/subject and i love how there is a section every week to put in where God's graces are apparent and things you want to remember that happened during the week with the family. I couldn't speak more highly about this planner! Love Love Love and will definitely be a purchase next year as well!

I am a planner by heart. I have an addiction to calendars that I have to fight constantly. LOL This planner is the best one I've seen or had. The pockets in front hold my tests. There is a year planner, monthly planner, and weekly planner. And it really makes you stay on track with your and your kids' spiritual lives. Overall, I will add this to a yearly purchase for homeschool supplies!!!

I've tried a number of Planners over the last 10 years of homeschooling, and this one is the most manageable, flexible, useful, and meaningful. The homeschooling lifestyle is a busy one and sometimes I give less time to God, who has made it all possible. This Planner is focused on Him and how our plans are His plan for us. I like having a verse for each week, it keeps me and our family in the Word. I also like recording the blessings from the week.So often we ask of Him, it's wonderful to teach my children to praise and thank Him. The layout of the calendar pages are efficient and flexible, I can label the columns and rows as it fits our family. For example, if we school on Saturday, instead of Tuesday one week, I'm not crossing out days and adapting the calendar. It is obvious this has been developed and used by a veteran homeschooling mom. Love the durable cover and the pretty colors. Thank you, Debra Bell and Apologia!

This planner fit the bill. I especially like the way it combines the monthly at a glance family calandar with the weekly homeschool planner. I also like the added documentaiton of reading lists and curriculums choices. I recommend it.

Even though this planner hasn't been released yet, I am thrilled with its publication and cannot wait for it to arrive! Having homeschooled for 7 years so far, I have used and looked at dozens of planners. I can already say that this planner surpasses them all. It is flexible -- I can customize the subjects, days of the week, and number of students. No more having to cross out Monday (we school Tues-Sat.) or change subject headings! No more trying to cram my 4 students into space for 3. It is attractive -- the design is beautiful. And it's a great deal.
Beyond having the exact lay-out I was about to design myself (not having been able to find a product to my liking), this planner is packed with practical advice and God-centered encouragement. Reading the text is like spending an afternoon with an older, wiser homeschooling friend. Debra Bell gives excellent tips on how to plan, how to teach your children to schedule their time, and how to meet your goals each year. More importantly, she lifts your eyes to the One who is poised to sustain and strengthen us for this task. She is obviously well-acquainted with His faithfulness, and her trust in Him is contagious.
