Aussie MumAustraliaAge: 35-44Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5A Tailor-Made BrideAugust 23, 2014Aussie MumAustraliaAge: 35-44Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is my favourite Karen Witemeyer book! I have read it twice already. Hannah is a loveable and interesting character and I particularly enjoyed the warmth of her heart for others along with her strength of character to do what she felt was right and was best for her. She was a woman before her time with her regular exercise regime - the calisthenics program she followed adding another interesting dimension to the book. JT, as a man's man with a hidden heart of gold is a great male lead and Karen does a fantastic job of portraying the palpable, simmering tension between Hannah and JT. This one was hard to put down.

Edna Tollison5 Stars Out Of 5September 29, 2010Edna TollisonI know that the cover will catch your eye and say pick me up! And you will be glad you did as you meet Hannah Richards in San Antonia, Texas, March 1881. I felt right at home with Hannah as she is a seamstress and so am I. Hannah works for a lady and she is at the home of an old lady that wants her dress made that she is to be buried in. She is having a red one made and Hannah thinks that is terrible but she does as the old lady wants. Miss Victoria likes Hannah and ask that she sit in her room and finish the dress, as Miss Victoria talks to Hannah and gets to know her, she finds out that Hannah wants a shop of her own. Since Miss Victoria owns a lot of property that she does not care to leave to her nephew and his wife, she deed a building to Hannah, but it is located in Coventry, Texas. A man had wanted to buy the property but Miss Victoria has never met him so she refuses to sell. After Miss Victoria passes away Hannah moves to Coventry, and starts to clean the building and to set up her tailor shop so that she might make beautiful dresses for the ladies. J.T.Tucker runs a livery stable across the street and he is the one that wanted to buy the property. He is very upset over having a shop for just making ladies clothes. Hannah can't understand why the livery owner is so against her and yet he helps her ofter. She finds she likes him far more than she would like to admit.Hannah is great, she is determined, independent, kind and trusting. She is a little insecure and fearful, but she is willing to work hard to overcome any difficulties that come her way. She just wants to make friends and to get some bussiness. This book is really good if you like Christian historical fiction and I really, it will take to back to a slower time. The book has some mystery, love, Christianity and everything in betweenThanks to Bethany House Publishing for this book to review.
