I'm a youth pastor and am currently going through this book with a small group, midweek Bible Study (male & female teens, middle school & high school). I have a fairly quiet & introverted group so it's often hard to get them to talk during discussions. But with this book they've really been opening up. It gets them right into the Bible, and then helps them to think about it and how it applies in unique, real life ways. It also uses a lot of thoughtful illustrations ranging from physical activities to acting to writing thoughts on a page to watching video clips and many others. The applications to these illustrations aren't always immediately obvious, so they really make the students think and ultimately help drive the point home in a profound way.
We're almost done with this book and I'm excited to try the second one in the series!
