I purchased this book to use at school. The children I read with loved it. We read it again and again. The pictures really help children who count on them to help them figure out the text. It is a picture book of the orignal Farmer Boy book, and it is really well done. I'd like to get the rest of the series.

These My First Little House books are absolutely gorgeous. Full-page illustrations (inspired by the original artwork by Garth Williams) bring these treasured stories to life in vivid color. Each book selects a story from one of the first 3 books in the Little House series. The language is slightly simpler, making it an excellent option for introducing the Little House books to early readers. I just bought all the books in this series for my children and we love them!

These First Little House books are wonderful. I ended up buying the entire package of My First Little House books that Christianbook.com offers, and my daughter (age 4) looks at them all of the time. They have captured her imagination and she "plays Laura" all the time. Worth the money and then some!
