There are many devotionals that are available, and it is difficult to choose. Once the choice is made, you stick with it for the entire year. You will not be disappointed with Drawing Near by John MacArthur. This is my absolute favorite devotional, as it is designed to draw you near to the Lord, and feed you daily. A close second is "Strength for Today" also by John MacArthur. I personally read from both every day, and absolutely love the content. If you can afford it, purchase both Devotionals.

This devotional does not disappoint. John MacArthur gives great truths and insights to ponder, Bible verses to read, and prayer suggestions. I have forsaken all my other devotional booklets for this one.

For conservative views and scholarship, John MacArthur is my author. His expository views are consistent with major, conservative authors and is true to God's Word.

This book is different than other devotionals. Instead of a "feel good about yourself" approach, John MacArthur simply teaches you truths from the Scripture that draw your heart to God. Then, you begin to draw near to God and feel His love on the basis of His Word. I love it!!

A very wonderful tool for daily Bible study. As all of Dr. MacArthur's writings are wonderful for learning and understanding the Word of God, this is, again, written to give the true understanding of the written Word to the reader.
