The purpose of The New Joy of Discovery in Bible Study is to engage readers in learning Bible study skills that will encourage them to become "discoverers"—no longer dependent on others to gain insights into Scripture—and experience joy in the process. If you are interested in learning the basics of inductive Bible study, you might find Part One enough. If you are interested in learning how to go deeper into Bible study, you will want to continue in Part Two. When you learn some of these skills, you will gain deeper insights into the truths of the Word and the Holy Spirit will have a freer course in your life.

The joy of discovery, as it's name, is wonderful. It is important to learn techniques to use when you study God's word. I cannot say it good enough how important it is to study God's word and draw out the deeper spiritual nuggets. They will impact your life greatly as God's Holy Spirit teaches you through your walk what you have studied and learned. This book will help you learn some of those techniques to dig deeper through God's Gold Mine. God bless and look forward to seeing you in paradise and the coming Kingdom where our Lord reigns. Amen!

My copy of Oletta Wald's book The Joy of Discovery is heavily marked up with marginal notes, arrows to unite key words, thoughts and ideas, and highlights to help me recall the outstanding ways she has helped me use her simple but profound way of studying God's Word. Her method is adaptable to every type of literature utilyzed by the writers of Scripture. I recommend this book to every level of devoted Bible student.
