Very good book. It goes into great detail about the beloved hero. I also like the pictures!
If you want to know this man completely, this is the book. If you do not like messy grammar, this will drive you crazy! Alvin York writes in the manner in which he talks, so this book can be a grammarian's nightmare. He is just so endearing, and you learn how a humble Christian man became an American WWI hero.
