"At the Scent of Water" was a book I was able to hear to the end, but it completely failed to gather me in. I did not climb into the characters' skins. They gave me no poetry out of their pain. The plot was an interesting plan, but ended up taking me on its way without interesting expression.
All in all, the story was tolerable. It did not make me feel like I was in pain with the effort to finish it because I paid for it. It had a fine moral and finish. But I did not really enjoy the journey.
