Barbour Publishing Catch a Falling Star - eBook

Justine Campbell would gladly rewind her life a few months.back before it crumbled around her like so much gilded plaster. Billy Tucker could use a rewind button, too. He'd go back to the day before his humvee exploded in Iraq, injuring himself and killing two of his buddies. Billy's bitterness and Justine's humiliation make for a prickly pair when they first meet, but can either of them let go of the past long enough to let God make their paths straight again?

I felt it went on too long about hollywood, but it did redeem itself at the end. The main male character had anger issues that were left unresolved in my view.

As a Texan, I enjoyed the setting of this story, but you don't have to be local to appreciate the mix of characters--old and young, each bearing scars. Nice read to curl up with, and a sweet story of the healing power of love -- both from God and from other people. Enjoy!

This is one book that sure pulled at my heartstrings. One main character, Justine, has driven her car off an embankment and her Hollywood life crumbles around her. Life will never be the same. Another character, Billy, would like to rewind his life too!! He was serving in Iraq and severely injured as well as emotionally destroyed watching two buddies die. He now feels totally useless, as does Justine. This book shows how two hurting people can come to terms with their lives and difficulties and help each other through these destroying life issues. Trusting God becomes necessary . in order to make their paths straight again. But, can they succeed if they don't let go of the past and let God do his work??
An excellent book, well written. You feel the hurts of the characters and want to fight their battles for them. Can hardly wait for the next book in the series.
