Christian Logic Logic in 100 Minutes DVD

Can your 10- to 18-year-olds recognize circular reasoning when they hear it? How about loaded questions, weak analogies, and hasty generalizations? In two 50-minute workshops, Hans and Nathaniel Bluedorn equip students with the "thinking toolbox" they need to spot propaganda and fallacies in the media; consider both sides of controversial topics and decide which is right; and more. Approx. 100 minutes.

The presentation of these good ideas is less than entertaining or interesting. My students would be bored with most of the presentations.

An excellent addition to the upper level education library. Basically, one is watching a recorded seminar so a few audio points get too light. However, the speakers display wit. Both my teens were smiling.

This was an awful DVD. I am sorry i spent money on it. I did not even bother finishing it. Because the cartoons the brothers use inthe presentation are copy-written, we can't see them making thier points much much more vague. My husband came in as I was watching it and asked if we paid money for it. Poorly presented overall. I would recommend that Christian Books not even sell it.

While I have always enjoyed everything I have bought from the Bluedorn's, I found this DVD to be a little disappointing. Their books are quite interesting and well presented, but on this DVD Hans and Nathaniel are lacking energy, and they do not speak clearly or loudly enough during the majority of the presentation. During some portions the slides being shown to the audience are out of the sight range of the DVD viewer. I recommend their book "Fallacy Detective" over this DVD. The information is very good, but just not presented well here.

If only Hans and Nathaniel Bluedorn had prepared this video with a little bit more technical improvements it would have been less distracting from the content. The video has issues with not being able to hear audience comments and the Bluedorn's do not speak clearly enough during personal comments. The cover of the video explains things better than the actual content. It's a little disappointing to watch when the topic can be so very fascinating if it had been presented better.
