It tells a very good story. I couldn't put it down. It made me think about how much people need a Saviour and a Comforter. Even when you are lost Jesus is there watching over you.

This is a powerful story and testimony. Jim Daly's childhood would have left most in dire straits with an uncertain future. However, the power of the Lord transformed him into a light for Jesus with a testimony that will surely help others. His childhood story will leave you hurting, wondering why God would allow a sweet young boy to experience such heartache. It is obvious though, that God's hand was on him for the beginning!!!

What a wonderful book! Without even knowing it I had made myself the poor little victim because of my horrible childhood. After reading this book I feel alot better about my child hood. Very personal. I couldn't put it down! I laughed and cried. What an amazing story from a true man of god

This is a wonderful book. I couldn't put it down. Every spare minute, I picked it up again. I finished it within 24 hours after it reached my home. If you feel you can't suceed because life wasn't fair to you, this book is a "Must Read." Jim Daly's early life could have marked him with, "not a chance", but God had great plans for him, and gave him a wonderful testimony to God's Grace.

This was an excellent book. The author shares so much of his own personal life - much of which was heartbreaking. But he also shares how he was able to rise above his past to become the man God wanted him to be. This book will give you hope that you, too, can rise above your own past and have a fulfilling, life of purpose. It was definitely worth reading. I'm putting a copy in my church library to share it with others.
