Dave Veerman did an excellent job with this topic. Shortly into the book, which described so much of what I was feeling, I was filled with gratefulness to God. I had been struggling with the changes in my life as a mother as my son goes off to college, but Dave's book helped me look back at all the blessings through the years. I have recommended LETTING THEM GO to all of my friends & family with older teens. Each mom expressed interest in a topic so rarely addressed. Thank you, Dave, for this gift. The Lord has used your work in my life!

I was having a very difficult time letting go of my daughter after she left for college. This book was extremely helpful. It calmed many of my worries and help me to get my emotions under control, but at the same time know that those emotions are normal and all part of the process. This book was an enormous blessing.

Although this book is mainly for parents of teens going off to college, I found it helpful with my adjustment to my college grad son who moved back home, now planning to get his own place. It seems so much more permanent than when he left for college, it's for real.

This book first of all, validated my feelings of loss, and also gave me hope that I'll be ok. :)

I recommend it because it's easy to understand and relate to.

"Let it go" has become a common phrase this year. It is no longer just for young girls. It is for parents of eighteen year olds. This book provides practical encouragement to parents that are sending their young adults off into the world for the first time. This book is a great resource full of experiences and scriptural support for parents that have trouble letting go.
