The ESV Pew Bible is excellent for general use in church as well as in the pew rack. The print is very readable and the extras are very helpful. The essentially literal translation of the ESV makes it a good choice for detailed Bible study and its readability is more than adequate for use in the worship setting.

The cover and binding are excellent. The print is easy to read, and the footnotes and other additions to the text are unobtrusive. I would recommend this type of book to pastors and laymen who prefer the printed page to electronic books and who seek to expand their collection of translations at a reasonable price.
