I love this book! It was so awesome! It is very thrilling and hard to put down. It was a little scary at parts, but that's why I love it! I am almost 14. I am the same age as the main girl in this book. It would make a great movie! I love how they compare Lila stuck at the bottom of the ocean to Jonah, in the belly of the whale. It teaches you the bible without being slow. I think boys and girls will love it.

This book isn't as much about archeology and history as the other books in the series; it was more modern. But that didn't make it any less of an enjoyable read than the others. I couldn't help sympathizing with Lila; it must be terrible to be stuck in a big container at the bottom of the ocean with no way out. I would have felt like panicking more than once! It must also have been terrible for Dr. Cooper and Jay as they tried to find her and kept running into obstacles. And Dr. Cooper and Lila had parted with some not-so-nice words between them :( definitely makes you think! Meaghan Flaherty was one of my favorite characters (she was so funny and clever), along with the missionary Jerry Garrison and the Coopers (of course). The only problem I had with Trapped at the Bottom of the Sea was that there was a subplot that could have been continued in the next four books and wasn't, as far as I know. I haven't read the last book yet, so maybe it is, but if it isn't, it will be very disappointing. It was so promising! But overall, I thought this book was great.

I've read the first four books of this series and by far this one was my favorite! It was very sad, but it was also very hard to put down! And I really enjoyed the ending!
