Enjoyed watching and listening to Elvis sing. There were songs I had not heard him sing and information that I did not know about Elvis. It was encouraging to learn that Elvis had a deeper religious side than was generally known by the public. The testimonies of the band members gave an insight to the real Elvis.
I've been a fan of Elvis since his early days when he traveled from small town to small town giving concerts. Knowing that he loved gospel songs makes me more at peace that he is in heaven now singing for our Lord.

We saw an infomercial on tv about this DVD and CD set. It was $60 not including shipping through the infomercial. I jumped online to see if I could get it at a better price. I found it at Christianbooks.com and was able to purchase the entire set for $38 including shipping. When we opened the DVD, it was the same thing we had seen on tv, the infomercial. So basically, we paid $16 for an advertisement. If you haven't viewed the infomercial, you may like it okay. The CD is great though.

I saw an excerpt of this video on TV and then watched DVD 1 online, after which I decided to order the set. This is a great documentary about the real "spiritual" life of Elvis Presley.
While I already knew that Elvis loved Gospel music, I did not realize how strongly it was a part of his expression of faith in daily life and how much the people around him were impacted by it. This video reveals testimony after testimony of the lives Elvis touched through his faith in Jesus. People that were comforted by his friendship, kindness and even healed through his prayer for them.
In this video we learn of an Elvis who was never selfish with any of his money or shy about his faith in the Lord. In fact, some regarded these things as a weakness; the fact that he wouldn't leave his faith at home and also gave virtually everything he ever made financially away in gifts to people and by helping folks with their hospital bills and financial troubles! Weakness??? I say this sets him apart from just about every other celebrity out there (even most Christian music artists today). Despite the problems Elvis encountered later in life, he demonstrated more faith in God and the courage and endurance to carry it through in every part of his life than even many sit-in-the-pew week after week Christians today.
Elvis seemed to genuinely love people far more than any affection for wealth or fame and even felt it was part of the reason God blessed him with so much wealth; so that he could help others.
He also was no respecter of persons... He would sit with anyone and try to encourage them, pray for them, or even read the bible with them. He didn't care if someone was rich or poor or whether he knew them or not. I count this, not as a weakness but a strength, and evidence that he was deeply impacted by the Gospel of Jesus and put it into action.
My favorite part of the video is the excerpt of Elvis with The Stamps and the expressions on his face as they sing "Sweet, Sweet Spirit."
Awesome video and worth every penny!!!

This really opened our eyes to a part of Elvis that most people don't know about. Very touching.

I like the songs Elvis sung on these, but I think I would enjoy the CDs better than the DVDs.

I bought this the first time in Istanbul, Turkey and didn't look to see it is in PAL and and won't play on a NTSC TV. I've reviewed it on my computer and the real point of the whole thing in my opinion is the Love For Jesus Elvis had and the pull of the world to make money and not do what he really wanted to do and that was be a Worshiper of the Lord. Now I can give it to my Mother-in-law for her enjoyment.

This wasn't a very good DVD; to much talking and didn't sing an entire song just parts of them. Got it for my mom as a Christmas present and we both love Elvis but it just wasn't a very good DVD Probably wouldn't recommend it unless you want to listen to them talk about his life then this DVD is for you. If you want to listen to him sing then I wouldn't recommend this DVD.
