This second book in the Rock Harbor series does not disappoint. While Bree struggles to reconnect with her son Davy, the last thing she needs is another mystery. When she finds a skeleton buried in the basement of her home, she must rely on God to find balance in her life between her son and solving the mystery. And we get to see her budding romance with Kade continue.

The writing and the story line are as solid as ever. I truly enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this book very much -- just as I did the first one. I'm reading the entire series. I feel you will enjoy it very much.

Being a new reader of Colleen Coble's books, I have now read all of the Rock Harbor series books, including the new one, Abomination, and I love them all! I like the way that the search and rescue dogs are brought into the story lines and you learn a lot about them as well as how the people of Rock Harbor share their faith.

Well. This book was good. It wasn't what I would call one of the best romantic mystery/suspense novels I have ever read, but still, it had a unique plot, with an unexpected twist or two. Personally, I like to read a little of this type of book, put it down, and mull over any possible suspects, especially those most unsuspected ones. That is how I knew 'whodunit' before I finished it.I'm not sure if that will disqualify this book in your mind, or if I'm just whacked and think too much. Either way, you will enjoy this book. On the down side, I did find it highly annoying that Kade and Bree couldn't simply talk about their doubts and questions and differences. No, that would have been entirely too easy and problems would have been resolved with far too little 'suspense' and drama, therefore effectively squashing the 'romantic' in 'romantic suspense'. I'm just ranting because the perfect book in this genre hasn't yet been written. (Hey - maybe I'll write it!) Or, maybe, (hopefully) I just haven't read it yet :)Happy Reading....
