My son loves it
Date:January 18, 2011
This is a full-color, engaging, comprehensive book, covering much more than the average 1st grade language arts program. It also takes a deeper approach to some concepts, requiring the student to really think. Having said that, I would say it isn't for every learner. It does not dwell long on a particular skill and provides less practice than some programs. I would say it is well suited for an independent reader who enjoys workbooks and does not need a lot of repetition to master a concept. My son is really enjoying the book and that is a positive review in and of itself! If I could recommend one thing to the publisher/company it would be to add perforations to the pages as the book is a bit thick to open up and write in for little hands.
