Joan K. LandisPerkiomenville, PAAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5People can change.November 27, 2013Joan K. LandisPerkiomenville, PAAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5This review was written for Good Hope Road. This is a book about a tradegy as well as a book about healing relationships and personal growth. If that sounds boring, the book is anything but boring. Lisa Wingate is an expert at describing characters and settings so the reader feel a part of the book. Much family heartache and misunderstanding was thankfully mended. Great read.

Janet Thompson5 Stars Out Of 5September 8, 2010Janet ThompsonThis review was written for Good Hope Road.I read this book quite awhile ago and really loved it! When the tornado was wiping out the area Jenilee lives in, I could imagine being there! Seeing the devastation, feeling the sadness of losing everything. I loved it when she is rescuing her neighbor, Eudora, from the cellar. Eudora reminded me a lot of one of my aunts. As Jenilee makes her way into town, through debris from the storm, she gathers pieces of pictures and other memories that have been strewn about by the tornado. She takes these things to town and puts them up on a board, hoping people might recognise some of it. Jenilee becomes involved in helping so many people, while waiting to hear if her brother and dad made it. This is a wonderful, heartwarming story that you won't soon forget! I haven't.
