I purchased this bible for my wife and ordered it with her name on it. I really love the quality and the only thing we found a little dissapointing was the color, it was quite a bit darker than shown in the picture. Over-all we are pleased.

Though I like the ESV I was disappointed with this bible. The cover is nice but that's it. The print is too small. It says on the CBD site that the font size is 9.5 point text but that's not true. I have another ESV Thinline bible (Gray Cletic Cross version) and the print is larger and its thinner then this one! The print also is very light and not dark enough in my opinion. Again ESV great version but finding a good bible in that version is like looking for a needle in a haystack! The company that makes them I doubt listens to these complaints.

Very nice cover and sturdy binding, yet flexible and user-friendly. Nice feel, font is small but not minute. I use reading glasses anyway and can read this fine with standard ones. Lovely embossed 'Celtic' cross, color is deep and nice tone. Not a study bible, bu a lot of reference material and many fine print notes at bottom of each page. Excellent bible to take to worship.

I find the translation common to english and readable. Not flowery or rigid. It brings the verses to life as common language but without compromise.
If you like the cover(not that it should really matter) you'll find this one attractive. Celtic cross and well constructed it is great for a traveling companion bible

Purchased for a 10 year old boy to begin daily devotionals and individual study. Very attractive bible with silver edges on pages. Perfect font size with no see-through problems. He keeps his in the box because he likes the feel of the cover in his hands. We use the ESV version for the family reading times so that everyone can follow along easily and pick up their parts. The construction seems fine and he is very happy with his new tool.

Cover is very nice, has a very comfortable feel to it. But the paper and typeface is unacceptable. The font is a large 9.5 point font but too thin and difficult to read. The paper is the thinest of any I've seen and the bleed-through between pages is unacceptable. I'm returning it. I have several other ESV editions and this one is the worst.

I bought this to carry to weekly Bible study. It is attractive and durable. As a translation, I generally like the ESV and I certainly trust it. So, if you need a portable general use Bible with maps and decent concordance, get this one or whichever of its many cousins (i.e., various covers and colors) suites your taste.

Good translation, great service from CBD. Some awkward sentences that could have benefited from closer editing (you'll know them when you read them, nobody ever wrote that way much less spoke that way!) but overall as good as having to read in English gets...better than other translations out there.

I travel often and this Bible fits nicely in my briefcase and the 9.5 pt type is easy on the eyes. My previous travel bible was a little smaller but had 6 pt type. This is much improved and a great value for the price.

This is an excellent translation. The size of this bible is great for everyday use, and the cover is great. The truetone cover gives this bible a well used and comfortable feel. The paper is thin, yet durable. All in all, this is an excellent purchase.

Very attractive cover and cover design; the translation makes many passages more understandable. However, I wish the names of Deity were capitalized. Thin, and a good size to carry along.
