Two years have passed since the tragic death of Missie LaHaye's husband. Love's Biggest Downfall

I have to say that the first two were my favorite, and I didn't really appreciate the second Missie, but this...is nothing nothing less than the big downfall. The quality of the series GREATLY DECREASED in this installment. I was completely disappointed when they killed Willie off, just for Missie to say "Good-bye sweetheart," and marry her submissive sheriff! This film also began the Love Comes Softly pattern of women marrying, sobbing after their husbands die, and quickly marrying again, only to adopt a daughter:)! Feminism also increased, especially because Missie marries a man who is incompetent to lead her. The women find no joy in loving and encouraging their husbands, no honor in being the humble helpmeet who molds the lives of her children. In short, they're attracted to masculine role in the family. And the men are unrealistically attracted to the women, and involuntarily submit to them!???
WARNING: be aware that any men who first marry into the family will be killed off and quickly replaced with someone else.

Whole series is WOW! You can't help but feel for the people depicted in this series. I'm a male and yes I've been through some hard times and so I can feel and I must admit I need tissues on hand. The advise given to the offspring is so beautifully put that I'd like to memorise them. Who knows when or if I'll need to use them one day. The WHOLE series is a must buy. I hope and pray that there will be more to this series. Sit back enjoy and be BLESSED. I'm going to put this review on all of the others so I don't have to type it out again.

I really liked this movie , and since I had seen the sequels, I just had to get it and , it was a good wholesome movie that the whole family could enjoy, not like the stuff that's on T.V. and movies today. it had a good story line and was easy to watch.

My family enjoys the Love Comes Softly movies and have collected them all. They are an endearing treasure. Each time I watch them, though, I have to remind myself to see them as movies barely related to the books and enjoy them for their own merit. I loved the Janette Oke books and eagerly awaited each one as the came to print. A part of me is disappointed to have lost the feel of what Janette originally put to paper. I saw no reason for willie to die! I hope the producers do NOT do this to all of her books.

I was disapointed that her first husband Willie was killed so tragically,and also that one orphan was treated so inhumanly. But I liked the lessons learned from the video and their faith and trust in God. I liked the ending where the brother and sister "orphans" can be together again. I like Missie's determination to act on her convictions. It has a happy ending.

We have enjoyed all of the Love Comes Softly DVD's. It is wonderful to have a movie to watch that is wholesome and uplifting. I read all of Jeanette Oke's books years ago, and now it is wonderful to see them on the screen. Keep them coming.

The story is great, I was very disappointed in the way that her dress in the latter part of the movie showed way too much. If I wanted smut I'd rent a Hollywood movie. I don't believe that a Christian movie should have that kind of content in it.
