Simon & Schuster Much Ado About Nothing

From the Folger Shakespeare Library, Based on the earliest quarto of 1600, this Folger version includes modernized punctuation and spelling, (i.e. ye to you, a to he), but not to the point where sith becomes since, or apricocks, apricots. Likewise, some older forms of punctuation are left where it best serves the text. When the wording of the First Quarto is changed, or anything has been added to the stage direction, the change is marked in brackets; all changes are listed in the textual notes at the back of the book, including obvious error fixes. Explanatory notes on the opposite page provide relevant meanings and modern synonyms and note if scholars cannot come to a conclusion; they're referenced by line number.

The war of wits between Beatrice and Benedick have been the foundation for trials of wits between fated lovers ever since. This easy to understanding edition of Much Ado About Nothing will provide the reader with helpful information that will allow Shakespeare to be enjoyable and understandable. 246 pages, softcover.
