Blind Trust is a really great read. This is the first book I have read of the series. I hope to go back to read the others of the series. I love the action, mystery, suspense, characters, and the cliffhanger at the end. Great book!

This review was written for Blind Trust, Port Aster Secrets Series #2.
Blind Trust is the second in the Port Aster Series, and although I didn't read the first one-yet, I was able to follow along and enjoy the story and the characters.

The story begins with Kate paying for groceries for Verna, her elderly neighbor, and that money turning out to be counterfeit. How could that be? Certainly that sweet little old lady had nothing to do with it, but then there is a long list of suspicious characters that keep you not only turning pages, but on edge as you try to figure out what comes next. I was quite surprised to find the identity of the supposed stalker, and also kept me wondering just how much he could be trusted.

Besides the cast of cagey characters, there is the man of Kate's dreams, Tom, a detective, and she is once again front and center in one of his investigations. Although it would be nice to know more about the case spoken of, you can read and enjoy this story without knowing all the ins and outs of what came before. There is lots of gentle touches, stolen glances, and wishing going on. This part is a nice light romantic read and a nice break from the action packed read. It is a breath of fresh air, a break from the fast pace.

The ending certainly has left me anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. This was a quick read, as I could not put it down. I would stay up late as the one more chapter, just didn't cut it. Pick it up and see for yourself. I bet you won't be able to put it down either.

I was given this book by Sandra Orchard and Revell book company in exchange for an honest review.

Sandra Orchard really stepped up the suspense with this second book in the Port Aster series. The first in the series, "Deadly Devotion," was a great, well-developed beginning to the series that laid the foundation for the three books so well that I cracked open "Blind Trust" and jumped right into the excitement without a moment of delay.

Kate Adams, amateur sleuth is caught in the middle of a case again that has nothing to do with her...or does it? She's about to find out. "Blind Trust" ends with a great cliffhanger leading into the third and final book. The back of the book gives the reader a taste of what's to come, but it's not enough, I say. Looking forward to it, Sandra!

I was eagerly awaiting the 2nd book in Sandra Orchard's Port Astor series and was not disappointed. Once again Kate finds herself on the wrong side of the police as she is accused of passing counterfeit money her sweet neighbor gave her to buy groceries. Always the champion of the underdog, Kate simply can't believe her elderly neighbor is guilty and sets out to prove it.

Blind Trust kept me up way past my bedtime as I couldn't put it down. There are so many twists and turns as Kate turns detective once again, much to Tom Parker's chagrin. Just as he thinks he's getting somewhere with Kate trusting him, he's blindsided. This is a book you won't be able to put down.

Thank you Revell for my copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first Murder, mystery, romantic book I have read.I loved the story line and really felt for Kate as she struggles with her love for others and doing what she feels is right even if it puts her own life in danger.

I found myself hooked, and have now read the series.
