I have studied Hitler extensively, and this book is a terrific summary of his whole life and the events and forces that impacted him to become a social engineer and mass murderer. The only criticism - Comfort seems to suffer under the common misconception that Nazism (National Socialism) was a right wing ideology which is, of course, incorrect. He could have said more to stress that the National Socialism of Nazi Germany is a persistent left-wing threat to freedom in our world today as seen in every attempt to grow government and discard the checks and balances of power in free nations. And he could have explained that National Socialism's eradication of the communists and social democrats in Germany was to eliminate a liberal competitor vying for the same electorate which we see today when socialists criticize communists. But other than this, the book was flawless!

I have never before heard or read anything like this about Hitler. This book is very insightful to the reasons Hitler did what he did, and very eye-opening to what is going on in our country.
