hey guys if you need a commentary that easy to follow and takes Gods word for what it is ,THE WORD OF GOD ,these commentaries is just what you need in your Library ,I like them for another reason ,they are dispensational to whitch I think is the correct view of scripture ,hey You cant go wrong with The Holman Commentary Set .......sin. My husband has begun teaching a Sunday School class of young adults, so these commentaries have been extremely beneficial. He purchased two or three from our local bookstore, but I decided to get him the entire set for Christmas.

The HOTC product is excellent quality! Original shipment was damaged by USPS at their Memphis terminal, repackaged sloppily and arrived late. In the meantime, I called about not receiving the original shipment and your cust svc rep re-sent it immediately by UPS. It arrived in 2-days but once again appeared to have been repackaged. It did not contain any shipping information, no invoice, no receipt, no marketing material, just the books packed in a box. The HOTC arrived the second time in good condition so I will keep those and call your Cust Svc for info on how to send the original (damaged) boxed set back to you.

This and the Holman N.T. Commentary are excellent resources. I use this as a help in my sermon preparation and Bible Study. I am very pleased with this commentary. I also recommend the New Interpreter's Commentary set, especially for preachers.

I read only a part of it because it is intended for a Bible School in the Philippines. South Negros Bible Institute. To teach young eager mind open to the Word of God and to prepare them for that great commission, the harvest of soul for the glory of God. That book Holman's Old and New Testament commentary is a great aid to understand fully the Word Of God.

Fabulous! Great scholarship along with wonderful application points that are helpful for teaching a class or congregation. I have many technical commentaries that take you deep into the original languages and cultural settings, but fail to bridge the gap to modern day application. These commentaries (both for Old and New Testaments) are presented well and actually fun to read. Every Bible teacher should have a set of these commentaries.
