We've used Apologia for years & LOVE it. Thought the DVD would be a great companion to text. I was very disappointed: before we got through 1 session, my son said he could learn it better without the DVD - said he felt it was wasting his time. We stuck with it for a few more, but it did not improve. I'm sure the instructor knows his material well, but is not a good public speaker & the DVD is not very well done. If the price had been more like $20 I still wouldn't have felt I had my money's worth, but @ least would not feel like I had wasted such a large amount of money. NOT up to Apologia's standards.
