RkyMtGrl5 Stars Out Of 5A New FavoriteJanuary 23, 2015RkyMtGrlQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for ESV Journaling Bible--soft leather-look, coffee. Not long ago, I joined a Bible journaling group. I needed a bible with wide margins so I could write, draw, or doodle. I found this Bible on a recommendation from a friend and it is now my new favorite Bible. It has a beautiful cover, nice wide margins (with faint lines) and it lays flat when you open it. Also, the paper is a bit heavier than a normal Bible and in my case, that is a wonderful thing!

Michael5 Stars Out Of 5I LOVE THIS BIBLEJuly 25, 2015MichaelQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for ESV Journaling Bible, Brown Cowhide.I bought this full price at a bible book store for 110. Which is steep considering i am a college student. Im a bible student and i use this bible for class and for personal devotions. and it is perfect. When people say its to small to journal in (which it is small) I just don't know what they expected it is perfect to put down quick small notes on verses. But if you thought you were going to be able to do your devotions in this bible , i don't think you will be able to find one that will meet that. When i do my devotions and i read one chapter it takes me 3 or 4 journal pages to write about it, so i guess i wasn't expecting to do that in my bible. I just wanted it to put down small things that i want myself to read later everytime i go back to it. and this bible is perfect for that. I love the feeling of the leather is it perfect for me!

EydieOrwigsburg, PAAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Complete satisfactionMay 16, 2013EydieOrwigsburg, PAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for ESV Journaling Bible, Natural Leather, Brown, Flap with Strap. This unique Bible was purchased to include my many marginal notes scattered in various Bibles through the decades. The idea of having all the notes within one Bible was appealing. The Bible's look of natural leather with strap is attractive and the "block" size of the book is nice. The quality of the paper throughout is accepting of my black fine point ballpoint ink pen; back-to-back page notes show clearly. The English Standard Translation version makes for smooth reading and understanding. The black text is comfortable reading for my 63-yr.-old eyes.

McKenzie5 Stars Out Of 5Great bibleMarch 26, 2013McKenzieQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for ESV Journaling Bible, Antique Floral design, Hardcover.I ordered this bible about 3 years ago and I love it! The design on the cover is beautiful. The pages are just the right thickness for writing on them, and they won't tear easily. The cream color of the pages is easy on your eyes and great for reading long periods at a time. There is plenty of space for taking notes, but the bible isn't really heavy. I love everything about this bible. If you aren't sure whether or not you want to buy a journaling bible, I would recommend it. Whenever I take notes from certain verses, I will highlight the verses, and then every time I read that verse I am reminded about whatever I was compelled to take note of previously. I have found this very helpful.

LarryHarrogate, TN.Age: 45-54Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Old school/Rugged Manly BibleDecember 4, 2013LarryHarrogate, TN.Age: 45-54Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4This review was written for ESV Journaling Bible, Natural Leather, Brown, Flap with Strap.I love this Bible, it looks like it just came out of a settler's saddle bag! This is a good quality bible, with a good quality leather cover. I love the "flap-n-strap" design of this rugged looking Bible. I have read some complaints about the print size, but I am having no issues with it at all. I will say that if you are one whose penmanship is of the large variety, the note sections may be a challenge for you as they are small. I personally write fairly small to begin with, so again, I am having no issues with that either. I am a fan of the ESV but I do wish the book introductions were at the beginning of each book; they have placed them all at the back of the Bible for some reason.
BOTTOM LINE: This is a fantastic old school, rugged and manly Bible and I highly recommend it!
