Swindoll is known for his great use of illustrations in his preaching which explains why this is a popular book for many pastors.
I was worried that the book might be a bit outdated, but the illustrations used in the book give timeless lessons and thoughts that could be relevant to anyone reading/hearing it being used.
IMO, great resource for young pastors looking to add some depth into the "illustrations" criteria of their messages.

Rev Swindoll has been my spiritual leader for over two decades even though we have never met. His radio broadcast and books has been of great help and inspiration to me, so for me it was one more to my collections, and I must say that it is just super. Thank you
