I truly believe that few Christians know the level of intimacy with God that Dr. Helen Roseveare describes and lives. She consistently seeks to dwell there, but she is real: admitting that God has had to bring her through pruning processes, or as she calls it, whittling, as a homemade arrow. Wow! The things she went through! This book encouraged me to realize that great people of faith, even great missionaries such as Dr. Roseveare, have to go through these valleys and trials, so that they learn greater intimacy with God. The same goes for me.

Great book every Christian should read it. It reminded me of things that I know, it was very enlightning
