This is a complete and concise resource. The articles at the beginning of each month have been encouraging as I work my way through the ups and downs of homeschool. I appreciate the included grade book, report cards, and organizational aids.

I have used this planner for 3 years. I love it! It has everything I need. Even some features I don't use but probably should. I have two children, so it is set up perfect for me. The first year I purchased it, it came with the magazine. Sorry, they don't do that anymore. I liked the magazine too. It seems a little pricey at first but after shopping around, I found that the quality and set up is worth it.

I love this planner! It has space to plan 6 or 7 subjects for up to four children; I have only two, so I get more space to write. There are full year, monthly and weekly calenders, pages to record semester attendance and grades, tear-out grocery lists, budget-planning page, tear-out report cards, homeschool-themed articles and more.
This planner is well worth the price; I intend to buy another one next year.

I was excited to get going and enter in homeschool plans. The book does allow planning for up to 4 students. The lines are limited, so may just put page numbers, or have an additional sheets added in for subjects/days materials needed etc. I can see that this isn't a "lesson plan planner", due to limited line space of about 2 1/2 inches per subject per day, per student. I only have 2 students currently, so I have two lines per student, but it still makes for creative abreviations and such. It works, but I highlight things for each student to differentiate. If it had more daily subject planning space it would be ideal. I like that it has places to plan meals alongside the week, grocery/shopping lists new each month, and a yearly cleaning checklist. It is 3 hole punched to put in a binder as well as spiral bound, and I able to add planning sheets in between pages as needed when it is in a binder. I am still organizing my homeschool, finding out I like more space to write what to do in each subject each day. I will enjoy the holiday events in the December/Jan months., There is a gifts giving/shopping page. It would be nice to have a space for events and celebrations every month. I find we are very busy throughout the year, not just the holidays. This is the calendar/planner with the most in it that I have found for sale. I add on to whatever I use anyway. This planner is highly adaptable, and I found that white-out works wonders to make the pre-written subjects my own subjects in the order of the day I wish to teach them. It is easier for me to have things in order and be able to cross them off in order. It has semester attendance sheets, progress report, Semester 2 goals sheet, as well as similar sheets for 2nd semester, and report cards in the back of the planner. There is a place for family memories to be written down, as well as future plans for next year. Overall, this is a great planner, a good start to being organized and having everything in one place. Envelope pockets would be a big plus if put inbetween months pages for coupons, or bills that need to be paid. Field trips all listed for the year on one page, rather than monthly...small changes that I can do myself easily. Over all I like it and am finding I can adapt it easily. the daily Bible readings are nice, as well as the articles inbetween each month. Makes it seem as if it is more than just a planner.

This is a wonderful planner for homeschoolers with 2 or 3 children. It keeps your yearly and weekly records neatly and orderly and simply. There is plenty of space to keep track of several children. It is so helpful to have one place to look for all my homeschool and household planning.

I thought this planner was a bit expensive, but it looked like the best fit for me. I love the layout of the subjects/days, the room to add extra subjects, helpful articles at the beginning of each month, the month calendars, grocery list tear-outs, places to keep track of goals & accomplishments/grades. There's even report cards in the back and a holiday section in with December. Oh yeah...and it's beautifully decorated with a different color for each month. I will be getting another one of these for next year!! Well worth the price IF this is the layout that works for you. Look at the product pictures that show the layout for the weekly plans.

I've been home schooling for 25 years, got this planner for the first time last year and now I plan to have a new one every year until my youngest graduates! It is very helpful and well thought out. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is the spiral binding that cuts off an occasional word but, I'm sure that style of binding helps keeps the cost down. At first I thought is was a little pricey, then I started looking around for a "normal" planner and found that this one is very competitively priced and already has simply everything I could want in it! I am very, very happy with it.

The Well Planned Day is a fabulous resource for any homeschooling parent wanting to stay organized both for school and in the home. It is jam packed with many useful features, is nice sized and has interesting articles that are thought provoking. Also, it is very practical and works well for several students! It helped me immensely last year in my first year of homeschooling. I've already ordered one for next year! You cannot go wrong with this purchase.
