Crossway Books & Bibles Saved from What?

Take a moment to consider the power of humble prepositions---we are at once saved by God from his own judgment. In his inimitable teaching style, Sproul examines all aspects of salvation---our unworthiness, Christ's work on our behalf, the God-given faith that redeems us, eternal wrath and condemnation vs. joy unending, and more. 128 pages, softcover from Crossway.

In this book R.C. Sproul sets out to explain what the bible teaches about the doctrine of salvation.
In the first part of the book he covers what we are saved from. He discusses how salvation is to be biblically understood in light of how man has miserably fallen short of God's standards, and how he can be saved from the wrath of God through faith in the work of Jesus Christ.
In the second part he discusses what we are saved by. He covers the significance of the cross, the threefold aspect of sin, Christ as our ransom, and how Christ satisfied the wrath of God through his substitutionary death.
In the third part of the book he discusses what we are saved for. In short, R.C. contends that we are saved to be forever in the presence of God.
Lastly, R.C. lucidly explains much of the biblical words and theological jargon associated with the theme of salvation. Prepare yourself to laugh, cry, and fall in humble adoration as R.C. unfolds the drama of redemption and the love of God.
A must read!
